This is the final post in my series on colour where I’ll be wrapping up everything I covered in my previous posts and explaining how you can use that new found knowledge and apply it to your wardrobe. If you’ve not read any of the previous posts in this series then I’d definitely recommend going back and checking them out; part one, part two, part three. They lay the foundation needed to add more colour to your wardrobe.

Introducing more colour into your personal style III
This is the third instalment of my colour series, if you’ve not read my previous posts I’d recommend you check them out first, part 1, part 2. In the last instalment, I introduced you to colour harmonies, explaining what they were and sharing some basic examples. If you’re the sort of person who struggles to put outfits together with different colours (hello all black everything!) then colour harmonies will guide you to make sure the colours you wear work well together.
Introducing more colour into your personal style II
This post follows on from Introducing more colour into your personal style. If you’ve followed my previous post you may be in a position where you’ve gone through your wardrobe and identified whether there are any colour themes. You may have also been searching for inspiration to build a colour palette and played with different palettes to work out what colours you like.
Introducing more colour into your personal style
Imagine you’re out shopping and after a long day without much success, you stumble upon the perfect top. You try it on and the fit is on point, the cut is a little cool and contemporary, and you know exactly how it will slot into your wardrobe. But it comes in a choice of three colours… which colour should you get?
If the situation above sounds familiar and the usual answer is ‘black’ then I hope this series of posts will help and give you a bit of guidance when it comes to introducing more colour into your personal style.
5 Ways You Can Inject More Colour Into Your Style
Today you’re going to learn how to add more colour to your wardrobe and stop playing it safe when it comes to wearing colour.
One of the biggest concerns many of my clients have when it comes to their wardrobe is often how to incorporate colour. Maybe it’s the bleak summers? Perhaps it’s the belief colour looks better with a tan? Whatever it is about wearing colour, it seems for many in the UK, working bold colours is a bit of a challenge.
Remember the 80s …?
Neither do I, but from what I know of it, there was a particular boom in colour analysis and dictating what colours people can wear by putting them into ‘seasons’. Call me a poor image consultant but this isn’t something I advocate. I think colour is a very personal thing and over time you’ll know which colours suit you best and which ones to leave on the rail. Besides, if I tell you never to wear orange but that colour is in every store, what are you going to do?
Are you crazy about colour but don’t know where to start?
Then this post’s for you.
